Current and Past InfraGard Meetings

General Meeting for members was held on June 17, 2009 at the FBI HQ in New Orleans. Special Agent in Charge Mr. David Welker provided opening comments. Mr. Mark Lewis the President of the Louisiana Technology Council provided a good overview of the functions of the LTC and suggestions on how we might work together. Chapter President D. Kelly told us of the good results of the Shell Oil facility 'entry test' involving civilians and police. Mr. Matt Kallmyer the Deputy Director for the City of New Orleans' Office of Emergency Preparedness discussed the ‘Re-entry process’ after an a hurricane, the status of city hurricane preparedness and EOC operations at City Hall.(updated 6/23/09)

General Meeting was held on March 2, 2009 at FBI HQ in New Orleans. President Dennis Kelly chaired the meeting. Special Agent Hatcher presented Past President Henry Newton a crystal plaque of appreciation for Mr. Newton’s contributions to the Chapter since Hurricane Katrina. Vice President Felix Loicano introduced the of Orleans Parish District Attorney Leon Cannizzaro who made a 45 minute presentation of the challenges facing his new organization. Mr. Kelly also discussed the Offshore/Energy Sector Crisis Reentry Exercise to be held on May 19, 2009.

General meeting for members was held on Thursday Jan 22, 2009 at the FBI Headquarters located at 2901 Leon C. Simon Blvd., New Orleans, LA at 2:00 PM. President Henry Newton noted that this was his last meeting as President and thanked all for the Chapter’s progress in doubling of membership and cash in the bank. Henry introduced Mr. Dennis Kelly our new Chapter President for 2009 and 2010. Dennis introduced the Special Agent in Charge, Mr. David Welker who in turn made a 35 minute presentation on goals and coordination. After this our FBI Chapter Coordinator Mr. Hatcher introduced the ASAC Todd Cox for briefings on statewide priorities in the areas of Public corruption, Gangs and Counterintelligence.
