InfraGard is an information sharing and analysis effort serving the interests and combining the knowledge base of a wide range of members. At its most basic level, InfraGard is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the private sector. InfraGard is an association of businesses, academic institutions, state and local law enforcement agencies, and other participants dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the United States. Subject Matter: The FBI and St. Louis InfraGard will be hosting a law enforcement restricted seminar on the next generation of security threats and vulnerabilities to law enforcement. A unique set of vulnerabilities and threats has evolved with the convergence of technologies such as public safety LTE, digital radio communications, and video surveillance. The discussion will outline these threats and vulnerabilities as well as the protective measures that law enforcement needs to have in place to ensure secure continuity of operations. Specific examples of vulnerabilities to emergency operations and communications centers will also be offered for discussion.

April 12, 2011, Task Force Officer Brian Mize discussed "Advanced Persistent Threat" (APT) - and how the FBI addresses this issue. An open round table discussion followed in addition to a brief overview of Infragard for our guests.
